Removal:
- Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
Vehicles without access and start authorisation system
- Remove ignition key, if fitted.
Vehicles with access and start authorisation system
- Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.
Continued for all vehicles
- Disconnect battery.
- Remove heater and air conditioner unit .
- Remove dust and pollen filter.
- Unplug the connector -4- and lay bare the wiring harness.
- Remove the hollow bolts -2-.
- Release the retainer tabs -1- -arrow A-.
- Swivel the air intake housing -3- upwards -arrow B- and disengage.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Removal:
- Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
Vehicles without access and start authorisation system
- Remove ignition key, if fitted.
Vehicles with access and start authorisation system
- Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.
Continued for all vehicles
- Remove plenum chamber cover .
- Remove bolts -arrows-.
- Press out the rain channel -1- from the right side.
Note
- Water may ingress into the fresh air intake if the drip rail is damaged or not properly fitted This may result in complaints about odours from the heater/air conditioner and/or moisture in the passenger compartment.
- Water may flow via the drip rail into the fresh air intake if the plenum chamber cover is damaged or not properly fitted.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
