Checking vent slits in luggage compartment:
- On the left and right, check the flow of air through the vent openings -arrow- in the luggage compartment side trim -1-.
Note If the air ducts to the forced air extraction vent frames are sealed off or blocked, the windows may mist up.
Checking vent frame of forced air extractor from inside:
Note
- Gummed up sealing lips could cause the windows to mist up.
- The sealing lips in the ventilation frame must be free to move and close by themselves.
- If the air ducts to the vent frames are sealed off or blocked, the windows may mist up.
- Open cover of luggage compartment side trim.
- Check the vent frame -2- for blockage and the sealing lips -1- for proper operation.
- Passenger compartment ventilation will only function properly if the vent openings in the luggage compartment are not sealed off.
- It must be possible for the air -arrows A- to flow to the outside -arrow B- via the vent openings -1, 2- in the luggage compartment side trim to the forced air extraction vent frames -3-.
