Before checking the battery, select the correct test mode on the battery tester - VAS 6161- .

  • Maintenance test: applicable only for new vehicles which were stored by the importer or the dealer before being delivered to the customer.
  • Warranty test: applicable only for vehicles and components covered under warranty.
  • Service test: applicable only for vehicles and components no longer covered under warranty and for vehicles with third-party batteries.

Battery status: Read off and send the diagnosis protocol online

NOTICE Only applicable for vehicles with Start/Stop system and energy recovery system.

Work sequence

The battery status is read while the transportation mode is being switched off.

Removing engine cover

  • Disconnect the engine cover at points -arrows- and remove.
