Seat Leon >> Permitted tyre and rim combinations
General notes
Seat vehicles are built according to the latest findings in safety engineering. In order for this to continue, we recommend that only original SEAT spare parts are used. This can be recognised by way of the VW/Audi/SEAT logo and the part number. These parts have been checked for reliability, safety and suitability.
Despite constant appraisal of the market, we cannot assess other products on these points, even where in isolated cases they have received a technical acceptance or have been granted official approval.
In view of the above, it is therefore understandable that we cannot assume responsibility where these products are mounted.
Note
- The products of "SEAT original spare parts" and "SEAT accessories" may differ in terms of assembly conditions, tightening torques, etc.
- Observe specified torques for wheel bolts.
- Observe assembly and operating instructions.
The wheel rim/tyre combinations or alternative equipment specified in the charts for each vehicle refer exclusively to Genuine SEAT wheel rims. Approval of wheel and tyre combinations or a change to wheels from the accessories trade is not possible with the certificate statement attached here.
Notes regarding the recommended tyres
- Tyres are one of the most important elements in motor vehicle construction and have a major influence on road safety. They therefore first have to fulfil numerous requirements which are specified in various international standards and guidelines. In addition, we carry out comprehensive testing before tyres are approved for initial fitting on our vehicles.
- The following lists all tyre makes and tread patterns that have are or been fitted to SEAT vehicles at the factory at the time of publication of this information.
- These tyre makes/tread patterns satisfy the said conditions.
We therefore recommend the tyres listed here for refitting to vehicles.
- Bear in mind the special aspects that need to be taken into account in the case of tyres with emergency running properties.
- The sizes of the winter tyres listed in the table are the most sensible from the handling and economic aspects. In general, all type-tested wheels/tyre combinations can also be mounted.
