Seat Leon >> Removing and installing rear footwell vent
Note The illustration shows the left side by way of example.
Removal:
- Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
Vehicles without access and start authorisation system
- Remove ignition key, if fitted.
Vehicles with access and start authorisation system
- Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.
Continued for all vehicles
- Remove the sill moulding.
- Remove the front seat .
- Remove the centre console.
- Remove footrest.
- Remove the noise insulation from the floor in the area of the sill panel trim.
- Lever out the clip -3- using the electrical device.
- Prise off the cable clip -4-.
- Lift up the rear footwell vent -1- -arrows B-, detach from the heater and air conditioning unit -2- -arrow A- and take out to the side.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal; note the following.
- Check the cable clip -1- for damage before pressing on at the footwell vent -2-.
Note A loose cable clip or damaged seal can lead to flow noise.
Removing and installing rear centre console vent
Removal:
- Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
Vehicles without access and start authorisation system
- Remove ignition key, if fitted.
Vehicles with access and start authorisation system
- Store ignition key outside the vehicle to prevent the ignition from being switched on unintentionally.
Continued for all vehicles
- Remove trim with vent -1- .
Press on the attachments -arrows- and remove the vent -1-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
